Getting Started

Getting started can possibly be the most difficult part of writing, along with the ending and climax areas, but starting a new story can be so complicated that nobody really realizes how hard it can be. There is just so much that goes into forming a story that a lot of people don't know where to start, which is understandable. Just take it in steps and don't get overwhelmed by it all. Sure, it's a lot, but you can get through it. I go into depth about this in my Wattpad page, which is below on that button right there, so if you want to read more, then just go down there and read all about how to get started. This is a summary about what is on that page, though:

The Plot- This is kinda the most important part of your story, because everything is going to be based on this one thing. If you have your plot, then everything else just builds and builds on this. However, it can be tricky to think up a new, creative and exciting idea for a story, so if you're having trouble thinking of a plot, head over to the Inspirations tab to get inspired!

The Characters- Characters can be rather easy, but very time consuming. You need to form a lot about each and every one of your characters, like there name, looks, personality, relationships (friends, family, romantic interests, enemies...), what happens to them in the story, and how they change through the story if they change at all. Figuring all of this out before you start writing helps tremendously. If you have problems keeping your characters organized, then I suggest going up to that Wattpad page to look at what I suggest you do to keep organized.

The Title- This is probably one of the hardest parts of starting a story. However, also one of the most important. If your title isn’t interesting then nobody is going to want to read it. Here’s a few guide lines for titles: No unecessary puncuation, keep it short and simple, use a song title if your truly stuck.

The Chapters- If you're going to have chapters, then keep them organized (I show you how on my Wattpad page) and there's not really much else to say, but I strongly reccomend that page if you want to help with chapter improvement.
